Working definition
Morning Voice is a Yann Club doctrine you install for yourself: a short audio (about two minutes or more) you record and replay before the day narrates you, so you hear alignment, the Identity Gap you are crossing this week, and the direction of your own Ikigai — not someone else’s ritual copied.
Why Yann created it
The room already had Battles, flashcards, and vision work. What was missing was a daily ear-to-self channel on the personal journey: not more information, but re-hearing what you already committed to when friction and noise return.
Morning Voice exists to:
- Increase alignment — your stated priorities (Battle, definitions, horizon) speak back before the feed does.
- Surface the gap — make the distance between current-self and needed-self audible for one week, not only written once on a Dashboard.
- Point the journey — each replay is a micro-check: am I still moving toward my Ikigai, or performing someone else’s map?
How it works
Morning Voice is not a podcast, not Yann’s voice substituted for yours, and not performance theatre. Inspiration from others is allowed; imitation is not (2026-01-28).
The loop
| Step | Move |
|---|---|
| Name | One sentence for the gap or alignment edge this week (from Identity Gap, Battle Of the Week, or Ikigai work). |
| Record | ~2 minutes — your words, your pace, your body cue if you use one. |
| Replay | Every morning before mail, feeds, or the first reactive decision. |
| Listen for drift | Friday (or end of week): what landed, what did not — optional line in Manual Of Me. |
What the audio carries
- This week’s Battle Of the Week, tipping point, and predicted discomfort (Deliberate Play).
- Equilibrium — Seneca’s move: what do you already know you should do that you do not? spoken aloud (2026-04-15).
- Personal definitions when generic words fail — e.g. your serenity via interoceptive markers, not borrowed calm (2026-05-18).
- A line that reconnects horizon (Vivid Vision, Ikigai) so the week is not only tactical.
Battle Voice (variant)
Recorded right after you stamp the weekly Battle (2026-01-28). Same two-minute cap. Script checklist:
- Why this Battle now — which gap segment it bridges.
- The Tipping point you are training.
- Predicted discomfort — how you will play with it (Deliberate Play).
- What you limit if you avoid the Battle.
- Optional: one Ikigai-direction line — why this Battle matters on my map.
Listen every morning before the day starts. The first decision is the listen, not the scroll.
Capture paths
- Phone voice memo, Voicenotes, Wispr Flow, or any log shape you will actually replay.
- Evening record / morning listen is a valid experiment (2026-01-28) — architecture matters less than same-week replay.
Distinctions
| Not | Is |
|---|---|
| Active Recall / Flashcard | Content restoration — Morning Voice is alignment playback |
| Long visualization marathons | Short, repeatable, boring-brilliant |
| Someone else’s script | Your phrase, your gap, your Ikigai direction |
| Yann’s Morning Voice | Your Morning Voice — Yann designed the doctrine, you design the file |

Recording checklist
Stamp this week — scan before you hit record
- Gap sentence — one line: current-self → needed-self, or Ikigai direction you refuse to forget.
- Battle anchor — active Battle Of the Week name + tipping point you are training.
- Discomfort line — what you predict will sting if you show up honest.
- Signature phrase — the line you will hear yourself say back.
- Optional — body cue · equilibrium line (what do I already know I should do?) · one Ikigai-direction line.
- Record — ~two minutes, your voice, your pace.
- Replay rule — tomorrow morning before mail, feeds, or the first reactive decision.
Signature
The image is your voice before the feed — not Yann’s script, not a podcast — the ~two-minute cap Yann installs on 2026-01-28: long enough to land, short enough to repeat seven mornings. Listen before the day starts is the full stop.

Spatial map — drift (feed narrates, reactive day) versus alignment (your voice first, ~2-min replay). Your move: Your move this week.
The WOW is Battle Voice stamped right after the weekly Battle: gap, tipping point, predicted discomfort, optional Ikigai line — alignment playback, not information hoarding.
More room passes mention this doctrine in replay narrative — search the Codex for Morning Voice or start from the latest entry on Weekly Sessions.
Your move this week
This week’s micro-action (24–72 hours):
- Write one sentence: current-self → needed-self (gap) or one Ikigai-direction line you refuse to forget this week.
- Record one ~2-minute audio (Battle Voice right after Battle stamp, or a general Morning Voice).
- Include: Battle name (if active), tipping point, one discomfort line, one signature phrase.
- Play it tomorrow morning before opening mail or social feeds.
- Friday: one sentence — did replay increase alignment or expose a gap you had been avoiding? Optional promotion to Manual Of Me.
