Working definition
A flashcard is one question on one surface — the vessel that forces production before you opens the answer.
How it works
You often confuse the deck with the method. Active Recall is the mechanism; the flashcard is the unit of work — small enough to run in a hallway, honest enough to expose blanks.
Club uses include:
- Bias and protocol stacks — Yann building toilet-habit cards for failure patterns and closes (2026-05-13).
- SAP legitimacy — What is the real domino this week? on one line (SAP).
- Morning studio ritual — ten minutes, production-only, before principal work (2026-02-02).
Rule: one card, one behaviour or one question. If the card needs a paragraph, split it.
Signature

This week’s micro-action (24–72 hours):
- Write one question on a physical card or single screen note.
- Write the answer on the reverse — do not peek for twenty-four hours.
- Run active recall once aloud before opening the answer.
- Mark right / partial / blank with a date.
- If blank, rewrite the question until it fits one breath.
