Working definition

Self-accountability — The trained certainty that when you commit to yourself, you finish — including better decisions about what not to start.

How it works

You can honour other people’s calendars while quietly breaking promises to yourself. Self-accountability is the install that closes that leak: when you decide, you go to the end — output level secondary to fidelity.

It pairs with Accountability Check (the audit rhythm) and Personal Standards (the bar). The weekly review only works if you already know you can count on yourself mid-week.

Better decisions include not deciding — so you never train the insidious story that you cannot trust your own word.
