Working definition

The Weekly Review is the 90-to-120-minute weekend ritual that converts last week’s entropy into next week’s single focus — by reconnecting to vision, sorting signal from noise, and declaring what is in and what is out.

How it works

A week ends in entropy. Half-finished Battles, abandoned habits, half-tested tools, fresh ideas surfaced in sessions, new frictions, lingering frustrations. Without a deliberate reset, all of that bleeds into the next week — and the new week inherits the noise of the old one. The Weekly Review is the firewall.

It runs five operations, in order:

  1. Reconnect to vision. Whatever clarity level you have, read it back. The Review is the moment to ask: am I still building toward the life I want, or did this week drift?
  2. Empty the head. List everything floating — the “I should”, the half-projects, the conversations not yet had, the unanswered messages, the tools not yet tested.
  3. Sort signal from noise. Apply the Signal vs Noise filter. Which one move, if landed this week, pulls the others forward? Circle it.
  4. Name the next Battle Of the Week. Convert the signal into a Battle — an exposure to adversity that operationalises it. Write the question that will be carried for the week.
  5. Declare your no. Explicitly write down two or three items you are not doing this week. The signal earns its room only when the noise is excluded by decision, not by accident.

The output is small and deliberate: one signal, one Battle, one short list of explicit nos. The seven days that follow are spent investing every minute of available energy in that one signal — not in the open-ended list of good ideas.

Scatter versus ranked — five-step ritual converts entropy into one signal, one Battle, explicit nos. Weekend table stays in prose. Your move: Your move this week.

Your move this week

This week’s micro-action (24–72 hours):

  1. Block 90 minutes this weekend in a place where you will not be interrupted.
  2. Run the five operations.
  3. Leave with three artefacts: a one-line signal, a named Battle with its question, and a written list of two or three nos.
  4. Carry only those into the week.
