Working definition
On a rhythm you choose, ask: Am I keeping the promises I made to myself — not only the ones I made on stage?
How it works
You may honour others’ calendars while breaking promises to yourself. Yann separates fault (guilt), responsibility (answerability to others), and accountability (fidelity to self and to word given). You can be accountable to a partner yet unaccountable to your own calendar, Battle, or health protocol.
The Accountability Check is the deliberate pause — often weekly, sometimes daily — where you compare declared identity to receipts: personal notes, calendar truth, Battle reps, The Victory Journal wins, Alignment Score curve. It continues the Monday thread on comptabilité to self (2026-03-30, 2026-04-01): not moral theatre, but does behaviour match what was declared?
Pairs with journaling and AI review: the check is sharper when inputs are granular (Quality of Questions, Voicenotes) — “I was afraid” is not data; “I traded the sales block for music” is.
Distinction from Calibration: calibration scores one training edge today. Accountability Check audits the whole chain of self-promises this cycle.

The image is the integrity weigh-in — Yann’s scale metaphor on 2026-02-16: you weigh your body every morning; the Accountability Check asks whether you are the person your last public commitment implied.
More room passes mention this doctrine in replay narrative — search the Codex for Accountability Check or start from the latest entry on Weekly Sessions.

Drift from self-promises versus integrity weigh-in on your own word. Your move: Your move this week.
Your move this week
This week’s micro-action (24–72 hours):
- List three promises you made to yourself this month (Battle, health, commercial move).
- Mark each: kept · bent · broken — one honest line each.
- No fixing yet; only the check.
