Working definition

Scenario of life is the writable film of your path — you direct it (casting, cut, ending) instead of only acting the role the room hands you.

How it works

Three moves, one doctrine:

  1. Write the scenario — plot, adversities, skills you must grow to cross them (Storytelling · Narrative identity). Anti-vision supplies the forbidden routes (Anti-vision); Vivid Vision supplies the sensory destination.
  2. Direct, don’t only act — Martine’s upgrade on 2026-08-21: be the director of your life. Actor = cope inside the given scene. Director = change casting, cut, or ending.
  3. Biography of tomorrow — reverse-engineer from the end: magic wand, strip money/culture/norms, name what you live / do / allow; ask for an identity definition (dictionary entry) for that character; then step the identity timeline back (8 → 18 → 30 → now → next). Past biography is easy as facts and hard as reading — coaching changes the director’s cut on the same events (Performed identity · Future self).

Balance: perfect foresight would kill variety — clarity of scenario ≠ closed script second-by-second.

Execution rule: metaphor without write-up is entertainment. Club weeks ask: did the scenario land in a document and a behaviour?

Signature

Stallone refusing to sell Rocky unless he plays the lead — the scenario is mine to live. Twin: family-party fork → forest walk → voice dialogue → export into the second brain (Data selfie) so the director’s notes compound.

Spatial split — Actor (handed role · locked marks) versus Director (slate · cast · cut · ending). Your move: Your move this week.

Your move this week

  1. Pick one live scene.
  2. Rewrite it as director (what changes in casting, cut, or ending).
  3. Write one sentence identity definition for the person who could hold that rewrite.

Scientific grounding

Cite

Narrative identity is the life story people use to make the self coherent across time — Scenario of life is the Club write of that story as a film you can still cut (McAdams & McLean). Prospection is simulated experience of futures — director rewrites work because the brain already rehearses scenes; Club asks for the document and the behaviour, not the metaphor alone (Gilbert & Wilson).
