Working definition
Redefine productivity means writing the old and new definitions before you demand new behaviour — your actions track self-image, not the wish list on paper (Psycho-Cybernetics).
How it works
Busy can masquerade as productive when the dominant picture says I am someone who moves fast. A consciousness week — observation before output — can be the most productive move if the old definition equates speed with worth.
Pair with Busy versus truly productive and slowing down to go faster. Hourly journaling asks: by my old definition I was productive; by my new definition, was I?
Voicenotes captures the definitions out loud so the body hears them, not only the page.
Failure modes
- New tasks before new definition — adding workload while self-image still equates speed with worth.
- Observation skipped — demanding output during the consciousness week that exists to update the template.
- Old definition unwritten — you cannot compare busy vs productive without the old words on paper.

Behaviour tracks self-image — write both definitions before you add tasks. Your move: Your move this week.

Five lines each — old productivity · new productivity — read aloud once, then observe one day before adding tasks.
