Working definition

Mithridatisation is progressive dosing — small, repeated exposures to the adversity you need until the old threat reads as routine, not emergency.

How it works

You do not jump to the black-belt rep on day one. You elongate like a gymnast split — one millimetre past yesterday, not a ligament tear. The loop:

  1. Pick the edge — phone call, troublemaker ask, cold shower, public boundary.
  2. Size the dose on Reading Grid / troublemaker levels — white belt, not fourth dan.
  3. Warm up — ask the grandmother before the intimidating person; store ask before path question (2026-06-12 > Mastermind pivot, troublemaker belts, and warmup Manual).
  4. Repeat on cadence until belief updates — feared bothering everyone; data says most people laugh or engage.
  5. Log — Manual Of Me row for belt + warmup + next harder target.

Distinction from Tipping point: tipping point rehearses the one extra behaviour before the live Battle; mithridatisation is the stack of doses that makes that millimetre reachable.

Name: from Mithridates VI — progressive poison doses until tolerance built (historical cautionary tale: the practice has bounds). Club use = graded exposure and stress inoculation, not literal self-poisoning.

Signature

The image is pizza-order calls for a year — Johan still hates the phone, still dials, still updates the belief. Parallel: delay fifteen days instead of cancel when sign-ups are low — troublemaker fear of going back on your word, but the rep is show up, not annul.

Heroic tear versus progressive dose — white-belt +1mm until the edge becomes routine. Route log: Manual. Your move: Your move this week.

Your move this week

  1. Name one troublemaker edge and your current belt (one line).
  2. Write one warmup you already use or will add this week.
  3. Run one dose — log body signal before the story hardens.

maturity: grounded — safe for live screen-share cite on mechanism; Signature voice remains Yann-signed.
