Working definition
Decide is a death means a real decision expires one identity-part so another can live — without naming that death, you stall the Decision chain.
How it works
A decision is not a shopping list. In the verb decide there is a death: a part expires so another can live (A decision is two acts · Celebrate Micro-Deaths). Comfort with forms of death makes adversity walkable; refusal keeps you in “I will not drop this thing.”
- Name the death — which version ends if you choose?
- Mark it — Celebrate Micro-Deaths ritual when the upgrade is real.
- Keep fidelity to the future self, not the mood of the kilometre (Self-accountability).
Distinction from Celebrate Micro-Deaths: Celebrate Micro-Deaths is the ritual after the upgrade; Decide is a death is the recognition that a decision is already a death — the gate before the ritual. Member identity phrases (e.g. Queen of Death) stay on the Dashboard; they are not this doctrine — they use it.
