Working definition
Three frames means you measure the dream you project, the cadre your day actually runs on, and the cadre you honestly need — three lines, contrast, no merged fantasy.
How it works
Ambition collapses when three different pictures hide inside one sentence: this is what I want · this is what I do · this is what I think I should want. Yann separates them on 2026-07-03 so the brain can learn by contrast — the same move as ideal week design, but applied to cadre (start, stop, deliverable, lightness).
| Frame | Question | Trap |
|---|---|---|
| Dream | What cadre do I project — the ideal I narrate? | Inflated by impostor conditioning and tribe norms |
| Today | What cadre does my behaviour actually respect? | Mistaking pleasant deep work on the wrong task for progress |
| Real need | What cadre do I honestly need — not what I think I should need? | Skipping sincerity to keep the ego coherent |
The Dream trap often tracks impostor syndrome and tribe norms — not your honest need line.
Branka closes the session in one line: dream · today · gap — the gap is data, not shame. Monday Battle lands effort on the frame that moves the gap, not on another comfort item.
Distinction from want versus need: want/need sorts outcome versus engine; three frames sorts three pictures of the same engine — projected, observed, honest.
Example
You write three cadres Sunday: dream says six discovery calls, today shows slide polish and inbox, real need is one uncomfortable ask before Wednesday. The merged fantasy would have called today productive — the gap says otherwise. That is B2 miss-steer — the internal boss let image-work masquerade as cadre.
Failure modes
- Merged fantasy — one cadre sentence hiding dream, today, and should-need in a single flattering line.
- Dream inflation — projected cadre built from impostor conditioning or tribe norms, not honest need.
- Gap as shame — treating contrast data as verdict instead of input for Monday effort.
Signature
Yann on 2026-07-03: measure projection, measure today’s cadre, then separate thought-I-should from honest need — the ideal you project today is often built from brakes you have not named.

Dream · today · real need — three lines, gap as data. Your move: Your move this week.
Your move this week
- Write three one-line cadres — dream · today · real need.
- Mark the gap between dream and today in one honest phrase.
- Circle where Monday’s single effort goes — not the doudou list.
