Working definition
An intention can be true and still useless as a weekly training focus — the Battle is the tipping point muscle you actually train, not the wish that things go well.
How it works
You can enter the week with a clean intention — I will close better, I will be disciplined, I will delegate — and still finish with the same outputs as last week. The intention names direction; the Battle Of the Week names the one element that, if trained for seven days, propagates across the system (Tipping point).
The proverb captures the trap: the road to hell is paved with good intentions — meaning well is not execution. What matters is which muscle you deliberately rehearse before the live moment, and whether you measure progress on that muscle, not on your sincerity.
Pair with Choosing the problem you want when the intention is really a fantasy of removing sabotage instead of training at the height of ambition.

Yann on 2026-06-29: draw the intention in one line, then strike it through — what remains underneath is the Battle conversation. Johan hears it at the close: I will close better is intention; I hold the uncomfortable silence after the price is Battle.

Intention names direction — strike it through · one tipping-point muscle underneath → Battle. Close-room example stays in prose above. Your move: Your move this week.
Your move this week
- Write your intention for the week in one sentence.
- Strike it through.
- Name the tipping-point muscle underneath — that line is your Battle candidate.
