Working definition
Cut the victory means separating the public consequence from the reinforced Decision-chain link — so you can repeat the link, not only celebrate the outcome.
How it works
You share the post, the close, the published Reel — and stop there. That outcome is a consequence. The real victory sits upstream: where a broken link was reinforced — Inner Voice phrase, deadline against the Club call, imperfect ship permission. Like an anchor chain: you cannot raise the anchor if one link is open.
Cut the victory so you can name what changed in behaviour or thought and feed it into The Victory Journal as mechanism, not mood. Use the Ines-bis inverse when stuck: explain how you proceed so you continue not to succeed — then invert to see which link flipped (Saboteur mechanics).
Wire to Decision chain: strong links · weak links · broken links. The publish stack often needs three ingredients: clearer why · consciousness of the price · micro-moves on the weak link. Sessions are the seminar; the real training starts when you leave — redesign the plan for the next call before this one ends.
Distinction from Evidence as fuel: evidence proves what happened; cutting the victory locates which link produced it. Distinction from The Victory Journal: the Journal stores dated wins; Cut the victory is the dissection move before the log.
Signature
The image is the raised anchor with one open link still on deck — the crowd cheers the raised anchor; you celebrate the welded link. Room: 2026-08-05 — consequence is not the win.

Spatial split — consequence (public win · stop at outcome) versus link (weld the reinforced link · schedule repeat). Your move: Your move this week.
Your move this week
- Pick one recent public win. Write the consequence in one line.
- Write the reinforced link in one line (behaviour · thought · constraint — not the outcome).
- Schedule one repeat of that link in 24–72h before you chase a bigger consequence.

A public win is positive feedback — it funds the next climb only when framed as rising commitment to the reinforced link, not as finished progress that satiates the goal (Fishbach). Savouring is a skill of attending to positive experience across windows (anticipate · moment · reminisce) — cutting the victory chooses what to rememorize: the welded link, not only the crowded consequence (Bryant).
