Working definition
The serenity scale is your honest 1–5 read after a block: how much peace versus pressure you carried — not whether you finished heroically.
How it works
You score after the block, not before the story. 1 = pressure dominated; 5 = genuine peace inside the frame you set. Six months of I want rigid-yet-flexible block-time with weekly 2/5 scores is pattern data — not failure, not excuse. It forces feedback density: the journal line is the rep.
Grey calendar blocks lie; red blocks commit. Serenity scores tell you whether the block was real.
Signature
Rigid outside, flexible inside — define the frame first; the number tells you if you lived inside it without sprint-and-crash.

Heroic finish versus score-after-block — grey calendar lies; one honest 1–5 read beats the sprint story. Your move: Your move this week.
Your move this week
After one podcast or deep-work block: log serenity 1–5 and one word for what moved the score — no catch-up sprint afterward.

Momentary calmness and arousal ratings predict longer-horizon wellbeing change when sampled repeatedly — the serenity score is a lead state read, not a lag trophy.
